Join our team in Niagara Falls, NY as a Travel OR RN. You will be responsible for providing essential support in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and sterile environment for surgical procedures.
Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures, as a circulating nurse.
Effectively communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Monitor patient vital signs, manage anesthesia, and assist with surgical site preparation.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all surgical activities and patient records.
Demonstrate proficiency in orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, orthopedic, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, and oral-maxillofacial surgeries.
Deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Requirements:
Valid RN license in the state of New York.
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as an OR RN.
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications preferred.
Minimum one year of medical/surgical experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and practices.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work 8 or 10-hour day shifts.
