Position Purpose Under general supervision, the SAP Application Developer provides automated solutions, identifies opportunities for technology improvement and optimisation, and delivers end‑to‑end support for escalated requests in accordance with IS SLAs. Essential Duties Design, test, implement, and maintain complex programs and reports in accordance with business requirements and specifications. Apply appropriate development methodologies to code, relational databases, database objects, and user interfaces. Confirm program operation through testing, modifying program sequences and/or code as needed. Troubleshoot technical issues, recommend modifications, and establish system controls and protocols. Escalate issues by recognizing severity and impact on users, business processes, and other systems. Manage time efficiently to resolve urgent requests in accordance with SLAs. Provide ongoing status updates to users, team members, and management via tracking systems. Utilise version control applications to organise and secure all development projects and code. Conduct team training sessions on updated and/or modified platforms and applications. Actively investigate new tools and methods to support and improve the computing environment, maintaining professional knowledge and networking. Other duties may be assigned. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent training/experience. 5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP within SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environments. 3+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP Business Objects, including Universe design and development. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (or equivalent). 3+ years of experience with structured development methodology. Experience with SAP Fiori and BTP (Integration Suite, CAP) is a plus. Key Skills and Competencies Strong customer service ethic and ability to prioritize and resolve issues quickly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Adaptability to new technologies and changing business requirements. Strong project management and multitasking skills. Hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience (Reports, Enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, Smart Forms, IDoc processing). Experience with S/4 HANA features such as Core Data Services (CDS), AMDP, OData services, and RAP. Experience with SAP Business Objects (UDT, IDT, WebI). Familiarity with SAP Integration Suite and cloud application programming on the SAP BTP platform is a plus. Proficient SQL development (queries, views, functions, stored procedures). Experience with help‑desk ticketing software, incident troubleshooting, and escalation processes. Knowledge of Windows operating systems and version control workflows. Preferred SAP certifications (ABAP for S/4 HANA, Business Objects).
