The incumbent serves as the Chief of Medicine within the CVAHCS. The primary role is to manage and plan how services are delivered and contribute to the process of strategic planning, influencing and responding to organizational priorities. Working with the Executive Team, Service level chiefs, Associate Chiefs of Staff and program coordinators, this position will provide direct supervision for approximately 63 FTEs, with a mix of clinical and administrative employees. Responsibilities Manage and plan the delivery of clinical and administrative services. Engage with the Executive Team, Service level chiefs, Associate Chiefs of Staff and program coordinators to influence strategic planning and respond to organizational priorities. Provide direct supervision for approximately 63 full‑time equivalent staff. Demonstrate leadership acumen for single and complex programs in delivery of care. Show strong interpersonal skills and commitment to an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Coordinate a broad continuum of programs and work effectively within a senior management team. Serve as the clinical interface with academic affiliates and key stakeholders. Perform sufficient direct patient care to maintain clinical competency.
