Mission Behavioral Health Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in nursing administration, acute care, and psychiatric care, with a focus on upholding patient rights and ensuring compliance with medical records regulations.
Mission Behavioral Health Responsibilities
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Lead and manage the nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee the coordination of patient care plans to ensure individualized and effective treatment
- Manage nursing schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels for quality patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote comprehensive patient care
- Ensure accurate maintenance of medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Mission Behavioral Health Experience
Mission Behavioral Health Required Skills:
- Proven experience in nursing administration within a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of physiology and medical terminology
- Knowledge of MDS assessments and documentation practices
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and privacy standards
- Ability to effectively manage and lead a team of nurses
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in psychiatric care services
- Background in acute care environments
- Understanding of healthcare management principles
- Proficiency in managing healthcare operations
