This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and sustainability, solving real-world problems that impact global food systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs used by farmers, researchers, and agriculture businesses.Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and data scientists to deliver robust end-to-end solutions.Work across the full tech stack—from frontend UI to backend services and databases.Implement data visualization tools for geospatial data, sensor feeds, and crop performance.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code; participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize systems.Stay up to date with the latest trends in ag-tech and software engineering.QualificationsRequired:5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with React or similar frontend frameworks.Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, or Java, including REST API development.Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other relational/noSQL databases.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.Nice to Have:Exposure to GIS, remote sensing, or IoT technologies in agriculture.Knowledge of machine learning integration or big data pipelines.Passion for sustainable agriculture and climate resilience.Expected salary: $140000 – 170000 per yearLocation: Boston, MAJob date: Sun, 25 May 2025 05:09:55 GMTApply for this job nowTags: Tech JobsExplore career opportunities and trends in the tech industry with Tech Careers.
