Responsibilities Majority of the time spent using independent judgment in making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions, including product & department strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, and handling partner-related matters. Responsible for multiple departments, including merchandising, product mix, product costs, and supervising partners via department managers. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and company regulations for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation. Supervises daily management of non-perishable, perishable, and food service departments and merchandising via department managers. Maintains vendor relations and communicates Central Market expectations. Conducts employment interviews, performance appraisals, and partner feedback. Trains and develops partners. Delivers exceptional customer service. Qualifications & Experience Strong supervisory and management skills for production and sales across non-perishable, perishable, and food service departments. Long-term strategic and financial planning skills. Bachelor's degree and one to two years of related experience, training, or equivalent education and experience. Proficiency with automated reporting systems: inventory, food cost, scheduling, time & attendance, labor (preferred). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to champion new ideas and initiatives. Value diversity and work in a drug‑free workplace. Ability to handle stressful situations, analyze data, and plan organization.
