The Advanced Practice Clinician is responsible for providing comprehensive behavioral health care to PCHS patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Practice behavioral health within the scope of the clinical program
  • Determine diagnosis based on DSM-V criteria
  • Prescribe psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat emotional or behavioral disorders
  • Collaborate with Primary Care Providers, Psychiatric Specialist, and other Behavioral Health Providers (i.e., Mental Health Counselors and Substance Use Disorder Professionals) in developing treatment programs for patients
  • Offer ongoing informal education to appropriate staff
  • Assist the organizations outreach efforts as requested
  • Utilize the community referral system for those cases beyond the scope of PCHS
  • Familiar with using electronic health record (ex. Athena)
  • Monitor, and where applicable, precept relevant provider and care staff to ensure delivery of care
  • Other duties as assigned

This position has no direct reports.

Qualifications

  • Active ARNP License in Washington State (required)
  • Active DEA Certification (required)
  • Active CPR Certification (required)
  • Valid drivers license (required)

Starting Salary: $140,000 Annually

Work Environment and Physical Demands

With multiple locations and settings, PCHS work environment and physical demands vary greatly depending on the employees role. Essential job functions include the following: The employee is required to talk, hear, see, smell, sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to move around the facility; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
