Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Patient Care Tech Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 12/08/2025 Duration: 11 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Local Contract Patient Care Technician - Patient Care Tech Vineland, NJ Guaranteed Hour: 36 Time Type: Days 12 (6:45-19:15) (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM) Additional Information FLOAT: PCT/CNA Must have reliable transportation, will be floated to Vineland/Elmer if needed. The Patient Care Technician takes direction from the registered nurse. The main functions are to maintain a safe, clean environment in patient rooms and service areas, assists licensed personnel with basic patient needs and monitoring health and vital signs. Experience : High School graduate or equivalent is REQUIRED 2 years experience as a CNA,CMA OR PCT required in an ACUTE setting. Must have patient bedside experience; taking vitals etc. Certification/Licensure : CNA, PCT OR CMA accepted. AHA BLS required. General Info: Weekend Requirements : Every Other Scrub Color : Steel Grey Holiday : Every other RTO : No more than 3 days Call off: Client may cancel (call-off) up to one (1) shift per two week period without paying for the cancelled hours. First day instructions(FDI): Failure to complete the full orientation will result in immediate termination. Once scheduled, candidates do not have the option to reschedule any classes. Candidates will receive an email directly from client the Friday before the Monday start, containing important information regarding the orientation. Instructions for signing on to the Virtual Welcome meeting and the online HealthStream Module from Human Resources will be sent prior to 8:30 AM on Monday. The Monday GEO will be conducted virtually from the candidate's own computer. All assigned HealthStream modules must be completed by Monday. Failure to do so will result in removal from the orientation list. In-person classes are typically held from Tuesday to Thursday in multiple locations. The specific location may not be listed in the original email; candidates are required to use HealthStream to determine the class location on the day of the class. The POCT class is mandatory and will not occur during orientation week. Candidates will receive a unit-based orientation schedule from their manager. Candidates will receive instructions on how to make an appointment to receive their ID badge in person. Photo submissions are not permitted, and obtaining the badge is required during orientation.
