This includes IT, Software Development, OT / Automation Systems, and business process improvement. At Vantage, we are very hands on. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes so we can make informed purchase decisions. The Technology & Systems department participates in designing each of our new data center building\'s networking infrastructure, including but not limited to diverse pathways connecting to carriers, meet-me room (MMR) hosting (rack, cabs, ladders, cross connect panels...), wireless AP coverage, etc.We rely on extreme collaboration with Sales, Construction, Operations and Corporate Functions to drive simplification, establish global standards with continuous improvement and speed to value. We strive to double the good, halve the bad, in half the time.Position OverviewVantage is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to support and facilitate the successful completion of projects for the Automation Systems group. The individual will be a catalyst in facilitating multi-functional alignment with key project partners for regionally assigned new and existing automation projects. As a key contributor, the position will manage and provide technical leadership regarding automation design, engineering, and construction interfacing. The ability to influence and develop consensus across teams at a regional level is critical to be successful in this role. A high-level understanding of system integration, project management, commissioning, and process execution is required to provide informative project issue mitigation when challenges arise.Essential responsibilities include driving automation design activities and coordinating with various partners to ensure alignment with the Vantage Automation Execution Playbook and global standards.Essential Job FunctionsLeads automation design and engineering projects that align with business vision, strategy, and deployment within the company.Assist in the definition of automation project scope and objectives, involving all relevant partners and ensuring technical feasibility.Balance multiple automation technical project scopes, schedules, and stakeholder relations across the regions.Drive all aspects of automation activities related to new and existing project development through each of the design and engineering phases, while supporting the construction interfacing team.Lead automation technical responsibilities with the Engineer of Record and Design Systems Integrators.Run automation design deliverable package coordination and updates with all applicable automation construction partners.Ensure alignment to the Vantage Automation Execution Playbook and global standards by the Engineer of Records and Design Systems Integrators.Provide automation system technical guidance and issue mitigation throughout design, engineering, and commissioning activities.Coordinate and support applicable Factory Witness Tests (FWT) and software bench testing and on-site tests for various projects.Provide remote or onsite project and vendor support ensuring a successful design and engineering delivery.Handle automation design, engineering, and programming deliverables (Specifications, IFCs, SOOs, PLC, SCADA, etc.), ensuring critical delivery milestones are maintained and in alignment with the master construction schedule.Provide and implement automation technical quality and accuracy control measures for projects.Lead and participate in weekly and/or daily automation engineering meetings for each applicable regional project.DutiesLead regional Automation project design, engineering, and programming/software delivery.Support in developing and handling automation design, and engineering strategies.Develop technical task prioritization and scheduling for prioritizing and meeting project timelines.Support and coordinate automation design and engineering requirements with internal and external partners.Evaluate progress on project(s) and supervise changes to schedule.Develop and maintain standard communication and user documentation for Automation aspects of project implementation (RFIs, Transmittals, Submittals, Change Requests, Project Plans, Status Updates, etc.).Job Requirements10+ years of experience in Building Management System (BMS) design, integration, commissioning, or technical leadership.BS in related Engineering or Construction Management field preferred but not required based upon experience level.PLC / SCADA Application Engineering experience preferred.Experience with Allen-Bradley and Ignition experience preferred.Data Center or Mission Critical project experience preferred but not required.Shown success in project management with PMP certification preferred but not required.Experience in instrumentation and controls (I&C) preferred.Proficiency with MS Project, MS Office, and MS SharePoint.Travel required is expected to be 25% but may increase over time as the business evolves.Additional DetailsSalary Range: $130k - $160k + Bonus (this range is based on national market data and may vary in other locations)This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.#LI-Remote#LI-PV1We operate with No Ego and No Arrogance.
