Responsibilities include clinical, financial, human resources, and quality assurance/performance improvement activities. The Director of Nursing is also a member of the community management team, working collaboratively with other department leaders to meet community goals in operations, human resources, sales and resident care. Qualifications Seven years of experience with geriatric populations, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience preferred. BSN required; graduation from a School of Nursing for Registered Nurses. Current state licensure in the state of practice. Current CPR and AED certifications required. Current First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain it. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Well‑developed human relations skills, with experience in interviewing, selecting, evaluating, training, coaching, and motivating staff. Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office. Maintains a courteous and customer‑centric approach to problem‑solving, goal‑setting, and management philosophy. Additional State Requirements Knowledge of regulatory compliance and Continuing Care Retirement Community operations. Well‑developed human relations skills with experience in interviewing/selecting, evaluating, training, coaching and motivating staff.
