Strong understanding of infant and toddler development milestones and age-appropriate practicesExcellent observation and documentation skillsStrong emotional intelligence and ability to respond sensitively to children's needsAble to work with a team who have a strong emphasis on relationships and how we relate to others and a collaborative work approach.Embodies a growth mind-set; be open and willing to reflect and change as we continue to provide quality interactions and learning to all children in our care.Primary Responsibilities Include:Lead a classroom of infants or toddlers (ages 6 weeks to 24 months) while maintaining appropriate teacher-child ratiosCreate and maintain a warm, nurturing environment that supports each child's individual developmentDesign and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social-emotional, and physical developmentMaintain detailed daily records of each child's feeding, diapering, sleeping, and activities through our digital communication platformConduct regular developmental assessments and maintain individual portfolios for each childPartner with families through daily communication, formal conferences, and documentation of children's growth and developmentEnsure classroom compliance with all licensing requirements and Wonder Years School health and safety protocolsMentor and support assistant teachers in implementing curriculum and best practicesParticipate in regular professional development opportunities and staff meetingsMaintain and organize classroom materials and environments to support children's exploration and learningCollaborate with other teachers and administration to ensure program quality and consistencyQualifications RequiredAt least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.AA/BA/CDA in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or 12 ECE units completed: Child Development, Child Family Community and 2 curriculum courses. For an Infant or Toddler position the Infant/Toddler class is required as one of the curriculum courses.12 months experience working in an early childhood education program.Fingerprints clearance through Department of Justice for Child Abuse Index Check and Criminal Record Statement.Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language.Please apply below or send resume to careers@wonderyears.school #J-18808-Ljbffr
