Responsibilities:


  • Manage engineering tasks, develop specifications, and create and review drawings related to electrical and instrumentation work conducted at the plant and by external engineering consultants.


  • Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), assess proposals, and oversee the engineering, procurement, and construction aspects of electrical and instrumentation projects.


  • Develop, revise, and maintain specifications for electrical and instrumentation systems.


  • Examine, assess, and oversee work executed by electrical and instrumentation contractors to ensure it meets performance, quality, functionality, and budgetary standards.


  • Support maintenance department technicians with their troubleshooting, specifications, and design needs related to electrical and instrumentation systems.


Requirements:


  • B.S. degree in Engineering.
  • Prefer 5 or more years of experience with industrial electrical and power systems (12kV and 480/120V, Transformer, MCC, Breakers, Motors, etc.), instrumentation (Control Valves, Transmitters, Gauges, etc.), and automation systems (PLC, HMI, Servers, and various networking i.e. Ethernet, Modbus, etc.).
  • Experience with the design, specification and installation of SCADA and PLC systems.
  • Knowledge of ISA Standards and NEC.
  • Industrial HMI and PLC programming desirable but not required.
