We are an experienced union contractor with a highly qualified, creative, and motivated team of managers, engineers, and tradespersons who are ready to exceed our customers every expectation.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Senior Project Manager (SPM) will report to Executive Leadership / Project Executive and is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, technically complex civil and electrical infrastructure projects and must have both Electrical & Civil Construction experience. The SPM provides leadership across all phases of project execution—preconstruction, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProject Leadership & ExecutionLead full lifecycle project management for heavy electrical & civil infrastructure projects.Establish and maintain project budgets, schedules, cost controls, and performance KPIs.Drive coordination between engineering, field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.Ensure compliance with specs, standards, and regulatory requirements.Oversee documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress tracking.Team & Stakeholder ManagementProvide leadership, mentorship, and oversight for project teams.Coordinate with client reps, resident engineers, regulatory agencies, and utilities.Maintain strong communication and proactive issue resolution.Financial & Risk ManagementDevelop and manage budgets, forecasting, and reporting.Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.Evaluate change orders, claims, and support negotiation.Ensure safety, quality, and corporate compliance.Procurement & Contract AdministrationSupport bid preparation, takeoffs, and scope development.Manage subcontractor performance and contract compliance.Support value engineering and design-build coordination.Quality, Safety & ComplianceEnforce safety excellence.Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance.Maintain QA/QC standards.KEY REQUIREMENTSRequiredBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.10+ years of project management experience in heavy electrical, civil, or water/wastewater construction.Strong leadership and organizational abilities.Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.Understanding of construction methods, scheduling, contracts, and budgeting.PreferredProfessional Engineer (PE) license.DBIA certification or design-build experience.Public agency experience (DEP, DOT, MTA, etc.).OSHA 30 certification.Advanced knowledge of water/wastewater treatment systems.KEY BENEFITS:Health, Dental, and Vision coveragePaid Holidays, Vacation and PTO Days401kLife and Disability InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountsWHY JOIN PJS GROUP?Lead high-visibility public infrastructure projects.Collaborative, supportive environment.Competitive compensation and growth opportunities.At PJS Group, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
