Summary The Regional Procurement Director drives the execution of defined category strategies at the local level, manages the operational procurement team, and identifies cost‑reduction, cost‑avoidance, and service‑improvement opportunities. The role builds strong relationships with internal customers, regional category teams, and external suppliers to implement procurement initiatives. Responsibilities Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. Drive the execution of local/regional category strategy in collaboration with the Local Category Manager and Divisional Procurement team. Manage the operational procurement team. Identify and enable opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance, and service improvements. Provide guidelines and direction to the local team to execute procurement tactics and achieve benefits. Drive annual budgeted cost savings, margin improvements, and other procurement benefits using best‑in‑class techniques. Provide monthly reporting on savings, benefits, key initiatives, and projects through an effective procurement management dashboard (KPIs). Connect procurement and portfolio strategies to the business strategy. Deliver the procurement category strategy and plans across all supported channels. Own supplier relationships and take actions to deliver value through growth. Interpret results, trends, business, and market environment to drive procurement performance. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Minimum 4 years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, purchasing, business or a related field. Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, including supplier relationship management, contract management, cost analysis, financial and business understanding, negotiation skills, and networking skills. Minimum 5 years of people‑management experience. Willingness to cooperate in international projects. Up to 50% domestic travel.
