Fitter Helper

**Job Description:**

As a Fitter Helper, you will be responsible for grinding, chipping weld splatter, high spot, burr, and rust from surfaces of structure components. You will also have the opportunity to position work pieces manually or by using overhead or jib cranes. Additionally, you will examine and feel the surface of workpieces for defects and select the appropriate abrasive wheel, disk, and die grinder bits according to specifications and conditions of the metal.

**Requirements:**

- Ability to read a tape measure

- Must have a welding helmet

- Experience with operating a MIG welder is a plus
