Join to apply for the Enterprise Security Specialist (Senior) role at DSA Our team is looking for a senior security specialist with Secret Clearance to work at the customer Pentagon office, supporting cybersecurity in a fast-paced DoD environment. Responsibilities Fill the DoD Risk Management Framework role of Senior Information System Security Officer (S‑ISSO). Perform integration of cybersecurity compliance (FISMA, RMF), operations, and SDLC security activities for all applicable environments. Support organization‑wide information governance activities. Ensure adherence to enterprise information security policies, standards, and practices. Review and edit existing Information Security Policies, procedures, and Standards. Apply cybersecurity expertise combined with Agile development and DevSecOps (cloud platforms, CI/CD automation). Resolve problems, mitigate delays, disputes, and elevate issues as needed. Communicate complex information to a diverse audience. Recommend improvements for evolving cybersecurity threats and processes. Plan, direct, and manage day‑to‑day cybersecurity project tasks. Develop and manage cybersecurity project plans through completion within time and resource constraints. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Requirements Undergraduate degree in computer science, information assurance, cybersecurity engineering, or mathematics. Minimum 5 years of enterprise information assurance/cybersecurity, operations, and federal compliance experience. Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework. Knowledge of NIST SP 800‑53 and CNSSI 1253 security controls. 8570 compliant DoD IAT and IAM Level III with field‑related certifications, plus at least one cloud‑security certification. Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience communicating to senior leadership. Knowledge of government and industry‑accepted cybersecurity standards and best practices. Desired Requirements Additional cloud platform–specific (AWS) security certification. Demonstrated excellence in planning, directing, and managing software development, platform operations, and/or cybersecurity projects. Knowledge of industry‑accepted standards for software development, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Experience in a DoD IT environment. Excellent communication skills at senior government levels.
