Behind our customers - amazing companies that help feed the world, provide life-saving medicine on a global scale, and focus on clean water and green mobility - our people are energized problem solvers that take pride in how the work we do changes the world for the better. We welcome all makers, forward thinkers, and problem solvers who are looking for a place to do their best work. And if that's you we would love to have you join us Job Description Plex, by Rockwell Automation, is the leading cloud-based, multi-tenant Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Quality Management System (QMS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform for manufacturers, recognized as an MES market leader by multiple industry analysts. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager for AI and Agentic Automation to lead the charge toward autonomous operations by building AI capabilities that stretch from edge devices to cloud intelligence. This isn't about chasing the latest trend; this is about unlocking real outcomes, such as predicting machine failure before it happens, optimizing production schedules in real-time, integrating AMRs (robots) that handle physical materials, and surfacing insights that let the plant run itself. Reporting to the Group Product Manager for Platform, you will lead the AI product strategy, evaluate technology vendors, address cost management concerns, and collaborate with domain-focused teams to discover and prioritize high-value AI use cases. Additionally, you will integrate Plex's AI strategy with other Rockwell Automation AI products. We ask that you have a balance of deep technical understanding, strategic acumen, and experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences. You will be an important figure connecting engineering, domain specialists, sales teams, and customers, ensuring Rockwell Automation continues to lead the market through intelligent innovation. Your Responsibilities Lead the AI product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy-anchored in the goal of autonomous operations. Drive a buy/build/partner strategy for the full AI stack. Partner with internal domain teams (MES, QMS, ERP) to prioritize high-value AI use cases. Lead AI product discovery: break down plant personas into use cases, and use cases into AI-powered actions. Leverage our multi-tenant architecture to create cross-customer intelligence, while navigating data ownership and legal constraints. Coordinate cross-functional efforts to integrate Plex AI capabilities with broader Rockwell Automation AI, automation, and AMR products. Lead customer and sales conversations, promoting the vision, benefits, and roadmap of AI and workflow automation within Plex and the wider manufacturing operations management business. Establish clear metrics to measure and demonstrate the success, adoption, and value of AI and workflow automation capabilities. The Essentials Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. The Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field required; advanced degree (MBA, Master's). 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years specifically in AI product management within enterprise SaaS (B2B) or the manufacturing industry. Strong product discovery chops: you ask the right questions, cut through noise, and turn ambiguity into execution. Proven track record of launching successful AI products or product capabilities, including experience with monetization strategies, vendor management, and cost optimization. Experience navigating multi-tenant data ownership issues and training cross-customer models responsibly. Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks, vision systems, LLM integration, or workflow orchestration.
