With offices in Atlanta, San Francisco, and Hyderabad, we help semiconductor manufacturers optimize fabs and achieve measurable results.The Role: As a Senior Software Engineer on the Enterprise Platform team, youll be responsible for designing and hardening the core platform capabilities that elevate our solution from working prototype to world-class enterprise software. You will drive architecture, lead system-level design, and collaborate across product, infra, AI, and customer teams to deliver a reliable, secure, multi-tenant platform that can operate on a global scale.This role is ideal for someone who has deep experience in B2B SaaS or data/AI platforms and enjoys building the plumbing that enterprise customers rely on every day.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and evolve the core platform architecture (authN/authZ, RBAC, residency, multi-tenancy, extensibility frameworks, system topology, auditing, entitlement management, licensing).Build and maintain extensible platform services and APIs enabling partner, customer, and internal integrations.Architect secure, scalable, distributed backend systems capable of supporting mission-critical enterprise workloads.Lead modernization and refactoring efforts to take the platform from early-stage to Tier-1 enterprise-grade readiness.Partner closely with product managers and customer-facing teams to convert requirements into robust, reusable platform components.Advocate for and enforce high standards around security, compliance, auditability, reliability, and operational excellence.Define best practices for platform lifecycle: upgrade paths, backward compatibility, deployment automation, tenant onboarding, configuration management, HA/DR strategies.Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate platform services with data pipelines, compute orchestration, and model runtime environments.Debug high-complexity, cross-service issues across distributed systems and production environments.Mentor junior engineers and influence engineering culture, architecture decisions, and long-term platform strategy.Qualifications:Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.6+ years of professional experience building enterprise/B2B SaaS platforms or distributed backend systems.Deep hands-on experience building backend services using Python, Go, Java, or similar languages.Expertise in auth frameworks, OAuth2/OIDC/SAML, RBAC models, multi-tenant architecture, and secure API design.Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, data orchestration workflows, and messaging/event systems.Demonstrated ability to take a good platform and mature it into a Tier-1, enterprise-ready solution.Comfort navigating early-stage ambiguity while still driving toward high-quality, scalable solutions.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills. Preferred Skills:Experience building or operating data engineering or AI/ML platforms (Databricks, Cloudera, Snowflake, etc.).Experience with enterprise deployment models (private cloud, VPC installation, hybrid, and on-prem orchestrations).Familiarity with compliance or regulated environments (SOC2, ISO 27001, semiconductor manufacturing workflows).Strong background in observability, service reliability, and operational tooling.Experience designing plugin/extensibility systems for enterprise platforms.Benefits:Competitive salary and equity optionsComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverageFlexible paid time offOpportunity to work with a cutting-edge team in AI and semiconductor technologyMultiscale AI is an equal opportunity employer.
