Job Details Requisition #: 1289 Title: FO Security Engineer Clearance: Secret Location: Springfield, VA Responsibilities The Security Engineering Team (SET) provides network maintenance and special projects engineering support for all FO systems located on premises, in the cloud, and in wireless environments. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for the Enterprise Analysis System (EAS) and FO engineering special projects. Implement automation and orchestration capabilities within the FO environment. Design and develop technical documentation—including standard operating procedures, diagrams, and other technical artifacts—for on-premises and cloud-based solutions. Provide support for TSA PKI functions, including certificate creation and management. Analyze design, development, and integration of hardware/software interfaces and system-level requirements. Perform health and wellness monitoring of FO FISMA systems and maintain forensic applications. Ensure updates to applications and systems are carefully planned, scheduled, and tested to avoid disrupting investigations. Document and report on the health of security technologies (firewalls, routers, VPNs, IDS sensors, proxies, wireless, PKI, switches) in monthly Focused Operations Network Health and Wellness Reports. Travel to EAS device locations for administration or repair as required. Follow RFC and CCB processes for changes; coordinate with other TSA offices to implement FO technologies within TSA systems. Create and deliver monthly Security and Vulnerability Status reports for all managed systems. Administer and recommend security, tools, and devices across an extensive range of platforms (Windows, Macintosh, UNIX/Linux, mobile devices, printers, forensic write blocking, imaging, etc.). Assist IAD Security Engineers with operating system, tool, and application management as needed. Develop integrated system test requirements, strategies, devices, and conduct overall system and security testing. Design and integrate information security suites to ensure federal and commercial best practices. Daily Responsibilities Update tickets in JIRA. Verify ePO server health and keep antivirus definitions current. Maintain WSUS server, approving/declining patches and database upkeep. Ensure all equipment functions properly. Verify successful backups. Attend scheduled meetings and provide feedback. Review logs for anomalies. Remediate and mitigate security issues. Update/create documentation as needed. Complete OLC training. Provide input to ISVMs and respond to ISSO requests. Assist other teams with requirements or issues. Company Culture Employees of Agile Defense are our number one priority.
