May be required to measure and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, etc. and reports any changes in condition. Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards. Communicates with residents and families regarding careThe ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma/GED, experience with Nursing Aide tasks. He or she must have a genuine desire to work with the elderly or disabled and prior experience is preferred. Effective oral and written skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalentSuccessful completion of a CNA program and current registration as a CNA in the State of Louisiana. Health care industry experience preferredBasic computer usage skills; ability to masterPhysical Requirements: Ability to assist with resident mobility and transfers. Required extended standing and or walking.
