About the Role The General Manager works closely with patients, ensures the team adheres to established policies and procedures, supervises team members, oversees dispensary operations, and strives to provide a wonderful patient experience. The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall success of the dispensary and staff. Responsibilities Advises patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis. Keeps abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends. Processes patient’s payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system. Ensures that the store is clean and well-organized at all times. Ensures company policies and procedures are followed. Hires, trains, and supports new employees. Resolves customer issues. Oversees daily operations across in-store departments such as patient processing, inventory management, and additional support functions. Provides leadership and direction to all employees. Works closely with ownership to ensure stores are profitable and reputable. Ensures an excellent standard of customer service is upheld. Maintains the store to high standards, including stocking products and regular cleaning. Completes tasks assigned by the ownership accurately and efficiently. Takes inventory of cannabis products and ensures that the sales floor is adequately stocked. Maintains compliance by following the proper policies and procedures set by the company and the state. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or you can substitute experience for a degree equivalency 3+ Years of Experience as a General Manager or other Senior Retail Leadership position Ability to pass a background check Required Skills Proven operational excellence in high-volume sales environments Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Work well with other team members Be self-motivated and possess the desire for self-development Ability to work autonomously when required Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
