We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team in New Berlin. As a School Social Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of our students. Overview:

Full Time
5 Days a Week
35 Hours Per Week
Start: August 12, 2024
End: May 23, 2025

Responsibilities:

Provide direct social work services to students, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution.
Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
Collaborate with teachers and parents to address behavioral, emotional, and social issues affecting students' academic performance.
Act as a liaison between the school, community organizations, and external agencies to connect students and families with necessary resources and support.
Develop and implement preventive programs and initiatives to promote positive mental health, social skills, and resilience among students.
Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans for students with special needs.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, coordinate services, and develop strategies for student success.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of all student interactions, assessments, and interventions.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
Valid state license/certification as a School Social Worker (PEL License).
Previous experience working as a School Social Worker or in a similar capacity preferred.
Knowledge of child development, counseling techniques, and evidence-based interventions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
Ability to work with diverse populations and understand the unique needs of students from various backgrounds.
Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to child welfare and education.
Demonstrated empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing challenges.
