Job Title: Janitor Job Description The individual will be responsible for cleaning hospital rooms in the hospital. This primarily involves sanitizing rooms between patient discharges. The role requires extensive walking, so candidates must be comfortable being on their feet all day. Duties include wiping down equipment, emptying trash, sweeping floors, dusting, cleaning spills, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces as needed. Attention to detail is crucial as the position covers multiple floors. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize hospital rooms between patient discharges Wipe down equipment and surfaces Empty trash bins and sweep floors Dust and mop floors as needed Clean up spills promptly Utilize hospital-issued iPhones for assignments and work orders Access cleaning tutorials via iPhones if needed Learn and navigate the hospital's floor plan efficiently Essential Skills Experience with smart phone technology Housekeeping and janitorial duties Cleaning, sweeping, and mopping Environmental service and custodial skills Ability to sanitize hospital facilities Comfortable with extensive walking and being on feet all day Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in healthcare janitorial work preferred General janitorial work experience considered Candidates with manufacturing/distribution experience willing to transition to healthcare GED or high school diploma preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted Adherence to a 3-strike attendance policy Why Work Here?
