WellStone is North Alabamas most comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider serving over 13,000 persons a year in Huntsville, Cullman and Decatur. We are a non-profit community organization that offers a wide range of services for every phase of life, from children to older adults.

**We are hiring for a Full Time Cook.**

**What we're looking for-**

* High School / GED Certificate

* Ability to pass Food Handlers Certification

* Ability to follow recipes, read and measure

* Ability to stoop, kneel, push, pull, and stand for longer periods of time

* Ability to work Holidays

**What you'll be doing-**

* Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared according to the menu. Wash, cut and prepare foods designated for cooking

* Verify prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity

* Serve clients/patients meals during scheduled times

* Clean kitchen area, utensils, food preparation areas and surfaces

* Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas

* Operate kitchen machinery such as oven, blender, mixer, microwave, dishwasher, etc.

* Clean, stock and restock workstations and pantry

* Seal, protect and store left over food items in appropriate place (i.e. refrigerator)

* Vacuum, sweep and mop floors

* Collect and dispose of refuse, empty trashcans

* Clean and sanitize bathroom areas, toilets, showers and sinks

* Dust and/or wipe down surfaces as needed, clean windows

* Other duties as assigned.
