Position Details This advertisement is for a Staff Psychiatrist, CF (SAFETY) position at Salinas Valley State Prison, located in Monterey County, CA. Additional Benefits and Notes Recruitment and Retention Bonus may be available for newly hired clinicians. Effective July 1, 2023, employees providing direct patient care more than 50% of the time are eligible for a 15% pay differential. Potential recruitment and retention stipends and bonuses are available, including a $10,000 one-time stipend and a $5,000 monthly differential during the first year. Employees may also be eligible for a $5,000 referral bonus after 90 days of employment. Job Responsibilities Under supervision, the Psychiatrist provides mental health services to inmates, including evaluations, treatment planning, medication management, crisis intervention, and training for clinical and custody staff.
