Job Overview Lummus Technology provides a wide range of process technologies that allow customers to make products that improve the quality of life for people all over the world. The Procurement Specialist supports sourcing and purchasing activities for both IT and non-IT departments, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of goods and services. This role involves managing purchase orders, vendor communications, contract documentation, and maintaining accurate records in procurement systems. The specialist collaborates with internal teams and contributes to process improvements while handling a diverse workload with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Manage procurement activities for mainly IT-related goods and services, including hardware, software, cloud solutions, training, and professional services. Support procurement needs for other departments beyond IT, ensuring alignment with their specific requirements. Conduct market research to support sourcing decisions and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Participate in supplier evaluations and RFP/RFQ processes, providing input and analysis to support decision-making. Support the procurement process by obtaining vendor quotes and assisting with negotiation of terms, including pricing, as needed. Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Assist with supplier onboarding and documentation. Communicate with suppliers to clarify requirements and resolve issues. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor communications, ensuring documentation is complete and accessible in the corresponding systems. Keep the CLM platform updated with all contracts and supporting documents. Support renewal processes for software, cloud solutions, professional services, etc. as needed. Assist Accounts Payable with invoice issues; assist other support departments as necessary. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Finance, Legal, etc.) to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements and compliance standards. Assist in preparing spend reports for review by management. Follow procurement policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and tools. Proactively manage change. Must be capable of handling a diverse workload and multiple tasks with accuracy under minimal supervision. Perform other duties as required. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or other related course of study. A minimum of 7 years of domestic and/or international experience as a Procurement Specialist with a global company executing contracts, preferably in Technology and/or Engineered products. International work experience and cultural sensitivity. Familiarity with procurement procedures, standards and codes. Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills. Capable of mapping and evaluating processes to identify areas for improvement. Must be able to quickly learn complex software. Strong and clear written and verbal English communication and presentation skills. Works well with others; understands and appreciates the value of teamwork. Must be intrinsically motivated to succeed and have high standards for one’s own work product. Prefer SPM, JDE E1, ERP, Oracle experience. Strong proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office Suite.
