Software Development Senior Software Engineer API Integration Payments Platform Server-Side ProgrammingWe are seeking a passionate and hardworking Senior Software Engineer to join Vimeo’s Payments team. As part of our team, you'll help build and scale our Payments Platform, which is responsible for enabling the sale of all products and services on Vimeo. You will be involved in pricing, packaging, checkout experience, subscription management, fraud prevention, internal tooling, and payment operations. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to move key projects from conception to launch; develop, test, deploy, and monitor software on our Payments Platform to improve product offerings, fraud detection, compliance strategy, and user entitlement tracking; improve our tooling to identify and debug production issues across multiple levels of the stack. The team values collaboration, curiosity, technical excellence, and careful attention to detail, and plans for the future. Diversity of perspective and experience are key to building great technology.Skills and knowledge you should possess:Experience with at least one server-side programming language (PHP, Python, Go, Java, Ruby, Node, etc)Knowledge of relational database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc) and data modeling techniquesExperience with testing frameworks and methodologiesAbility to mentor and support more junior engineersAbility to collaborate respectfully and effectively with both technical and non-technical teamsA good eye for details; you catch bugs frequently and can provide meaningful feedback on the technical complexity of proposed solutionsExperience integrating with 3rd party APIsExperience developing with Restful APIsVimeo's total rewards philosophy includes a wide range of benefits, perks, variable compensation and where eligible long-term incentive programs, paid time off, generous 401k match, commuter benefits, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), fertility reimbursement, group term life insurances, wellbeing resources, and more.
