Mid Level **JOB PURPOSE:** The Regional Retail Account Manager will serve as the point person for designated retail accounts as assigned retail channel. This position works collaboratively to drive revenue growth and development of traditional grocery, and private label within the Eastern Region. This individual is responsible for activities related to selling and promoting Woodland Foods products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation and marketing exposure. This position reports to the Manager of Retail Sales. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** - Increase revenue within existing retail accounts to meet or exceed budgeted goals - Support key relationships and develop business plans for retail accounts and distributors - Work in developing and maintaining relationships with broker network[s] and building business by utilizing product breadth, operational capabilities, and marketing - Execute a standard sales plan for key customers, as created by Manager of Retail Sales, that notes key contacts, sales, new opportunities, action plans and expected results - Coordinate with Manager on creation of action plans for diversifying their account base and growing business among underperforming and prospect accounts - Map and engage in promotional sales opportunities with retailers - Develop and deliver retail product presentations in a professional and effective manner **SECONDARY FUNCTIONS** - Provide reports and data sets on a regular basis, as needed - Participate in tradeshows where the team exhibits - Work with Marketing and Project Management to ensure efficient and complete roll-outs for all new products, featured/promoted items or close-out inventories - Perform other duties as assigned **QUALIFICATIONS:** * 3-4 years of experience working with retail accounts and/or distributors * Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience * Retail category review and product placement knowledge needed * Passion for specialty ingredients with a strong base of existing knowledge **SKILLS/ABILITIES:** * Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills, with emphasis on closing the sale * Strong oral and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills * Proficiency with current software packages such as Microsoft Office * Demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to solution-oriented approach * Ability to craft unique presentations and custom sales or product ideas * Highly organized and able to track, maintain and develop routine reports * Proficiency with Microsoft Office ***
