Summary

Full-time Pediatric Medicine Physician opportunity to join a large and well-established organization in Central Michigan Clinic time split between Alma and Mount Pleasant, Michigan. 

Located within MyMichigan Medical Center Mt. Pleasant and on-campus with MyMichigan Medical Center Alma patients and providers have access to 24/7 full-service laboratory, imaging including CT and X-Ray, Emergency Department and a variety of specialty services.

 

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of Pediatric Medicine: the physical, emotional, and social health from birth through adolescence, including health services ranging from newborn and preventive health care to the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases
  • Call 1:3 with afterhours nurse triage line support
  • Newborn rounding at MyMichigan Medical Center Alma

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Active State of Michigan License or eligible to apply
  • Graduate of a Medical School Recognized by the State of California
  • Successful completion of an ACGME approved residency

Alma is in the very center of Michigans Lower Peninsula. Less than an hour south is the state capital of Lansing, home of Michigan State University with its Big 10 sports. The medium-sized cities of Grand Rapids and Saginaw are almost as close. A short drive north you will find the renowned scenic beauty of the Lake Michigan and Lake Huron shorelines.

Mt. Pleasant offers the buzz of college-town activity with Midwest hometown charm. Located an hour north of Lansing, Mt. Pleasant has a population of 54,000 (including students). The city is home to Central Michigan University (CMU), the Chippewa Indian tribe and the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. Mt. Pleasant offers high-quality primary and secondary education, great business opportunities and a diverse selection of restaurants. Great shopping is also available.
