This Executive Director of Pharmacy position is key within Non-Commercial Pharmacy. The Executive Director of Pharmacy must possess a high level of responsibility and knowledge, provide leadership, and set a professional example for the entire organization. This position ensures accurate, timely prescription fulfillment and provides meaningful pharmacological and regulatory guidance to both internal and external stakeholders. This position supports a closed-door pharmacy environment.What’s in it for youCompetitive compensationExcellent Benefits – accrued time off, medical, dental, vision, 401k, disability & life insurance, paid maternity and paternity leave benefits, employee discounts/promotionsEmployee discounts & exclusive promotionsRecognition programs, contests, and company-wide awardsExceptional, collaborative cultureBest Places to Work in BioPharma (2022, 2023, 2024)Certified Great Place to Work (2022, 2023, 2025)What will you be doingPerform the duties of a pharmacist in a non-commercial pharmacy, ensuring compliance with policies and state/federal regulationsAct as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and work collaboratively across departmentsPrepare and dispense specialty pharmaceutical prescriptions and evaluate orders for accuracyVerify patient information, authorizations, certifications, and product accuracy prior to shippingEnsure all orders are processed accurately and within established timelinesMaintain product integrity per SOPs, departmental guidelines, and manufacturer requirementsCalculate correct dosages, verify regulatory adherence, and ensure complete documentationDirect and oversee pharmacy technicians’ workflow, including preparation, labeling, and verificationProvide professional guidance, judgment, and oversight for Pharmacy Technicians, Support, and Customer Service staffMaintain HIPAA compliance and ensure full regulatory adherence for PHI and pharmacy operationsVerify inventory, expiration dates, and temperature requirements for all dispensed productsPartner with supervisory staff to identify and implement performance improvement initiativesDemonstrate leadership in pharmacy practice, including re-engineering operations and developing best practicesWhat do you need for this positionB.S. Pharm or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacyRegistered Pharmacist in good standing with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy (must be able to obtain additional state licensure as needed)Minimum 3+ years post-graduate experience in pharmacy operations; non-commercial pharmacy experience preferredIn-depth knowledge of regulatory and patient safety standardsExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency in computer systems and pharmacy software applicationsAbout Inizio EngageInizio Engage is a strategic, commercial, and creative engagement partner that specializes in healthcare.
