DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerk Typist 2, you will perform a variety of clerical support duties such as typing agency correspondence, reports, filing, and answering and routing phone calls. Additional duties include greeting visitors, sorting mail, and developing charts and spreadsheets. You will have the opportunity to process paperwork for various programs and services, record and distribute meeting minutes, participate in cross training, work with volunteers, and provide backup as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
  • Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
  • Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Beaver County. If no eligible candidates who live within Beaver County apply for this position, candidates who reside in Allegheny, Butler, Lawrence, or Mercer Counties will be considered. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
