Responsibilities

Ascension Illinois is looking for an experienced Genearl Surgeon for our practice in Kankakee, IL.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Medical Groupto provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

  • Ascension Saint Mary's Hospital is a a designated Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center.
  • Excellent opportunity to enjoy Bread and Butter General Surgery with Trauma at one hospital & one clinic located on the hospital campus.
  • Call is shared within the group; 8 days per month
  • Access to da Vinci robot available with ease of scheduling and block time
  • This practice has two othersurgeonsand a full-time Physician Assistant

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office.
  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
