Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Contract Review: Analyze specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and site requirements.
• Estimate Preparation: Calculate complete work scope, maintain backup documents, and produce detailed proposals.
• Job Scheduling: Assist in scheduling to meet project timelines.
• Contract Management: Estimate extra work, manage change orders, and perform detailing tasks for awarded contracts.
• Project Procurement: Identify and bid on new projects.
• General Contractor Communication: Handle RFIs, clarifications, and inquiries from general contractors.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Shop Superintendent and Field Foreman to ensure project quality and execution.

Qualifications:

• 
  
• Four (4) years of technical training and/or experience in bidding and managing steel projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Blue Beam, estimating techniques, and cost control.
• Some shop and field work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with general contractors; excellent communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Current CDL and clean driving record.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• At least three (3) years of experience in construction estimating or general estimating (preferred).
