Location Address:600 Vista Drive, Sparta, Tennessee 38583Work Shift:8hr-1st Shift 7a-3p Sparta (United States of America)Preventive maintenance (PM) is the regular and routine maintenance of equipment and assets in order to keep them running and prevent any costly unplanned downtime from unexpected equipment failure Job Description - Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate any machinery, tools or equipment used.Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoesPerform simple machine duties and responsibilities.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Conditions of Employment Must be able to comply with the following conditions of employment: Climate Ranging from 70 - 100 degrees FNo Jewelry, including facial piercings, wedding rings, watches, etcNo cellphones on production floor, personal items will be kept in provided lockers onsiteNo pocket knives or firearms on company groundsMust wear the specified PPE at all times: bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoesPosition may require working in different buildings at any given timeAbide by all Safety, GMP, and quality regulationsWork Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Employee could be exposed to seasonal weather conditions if required to go outdoors. Proper use of PPE is required at all times. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
