ID: 49692008 Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (05:45 - 17:00) Description: Pain Management RN- 5/8s Variable Start Times PAIN MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Orthopedic Surgery Center Hours of operation: Monday Friday; opens at 0545 until finish last case; usually at 1700; flexes with surgeon Patient Population: Adult interventional pain management procedures/18 years and oldero Hours of operation: M-F 0730 -1700 Average Daily Census: 40 Ratio is 1:3 Float required according to skill level; possibly to the 2 locations (Rancho Mirage & Palm Springs) No Weekends, No call, No holidays Unit

Unit with 10 bed pre/post, 2 procedure room, interventional pain management. 2/3 of cases are local, the rest are anesthesia. ACLS /BLS required45 procedures/day; very busy. More of a procedures area (therefore the pain management)Less of a typical outpatient clinic area EPIC Charting Required Certs:o ACLS, BLS 2 years minimum experience Accepts 1st time travelers Scrubs provided* Flu vaccinations required - exemptions accepted on case by case* Modified

Submittal Details: #Tier2 Travel ComplianceRTO - should not exceed 7 days and MUST be submitted with profile; if not submitted in profile, it will not be approved. Travelers must work every other holiday but prefer 2/3 holidays or Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and NYE# of jobs in system we can sub - Can submit to any amount of open jobs; we send to one unit at a time so that the units do not fight over candidatesRequires Specific Amounts of Exp - 2 Years of Experience required to submitValid State License - Must have CA license on hand at the time of submittalMile Radius Rule - Perm address must be 50 miles from the facilityReference Required - 2 references are not required for submittal, but 1 is requiredLocal Rules - No local travelers are allowed; travelers permeant address must be over 50 miles from the facilityCandidates may float within hospital - Yes. Traveler is expected to float within skill setCharting Exp Required - Epic computer charting is preferred but not requiredBackground Policy - Background Checks: DUIs are generally allowed as long as there is not a pattern of themReturn Staff Rules - Former Eisenhower Medical Center employees must have been gone for 2 or more years to be able to return as a traveler.Scheduling Requests - Candidate should be flexible with scheduling, and any out of norm requests should be submitted with profile *Block scheduling is rarely granted.Modules: Inpatient travelers need to prepare for modules prior to start; there are 10 billable module hours.Extensions: Only one extension is allowed and then the traveler must take the length of the original contract and extension combined off before being able to return to EMC as a traveler again. So, if they work a 13 week contract and then do one 13 week extension then the traveler must take 26 week off before they can return back to them as a traveler again.
