Overview Surgical Technologist, CVOR, PRN, Baptist Downtown Location: Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, 800 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32207 Job Summary Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a PRN days position with shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. A surgical technologist in this role will work as part of the surgical services and operating room teams that treat cardiovascular patients. The individual will assist the surgical team during surgeries, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety. Between surgeries, the individual will clean and restock the operating room. Precision, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential for providing quality patient care. Responsibilities Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly Proper disposition of specimens and instruments Work with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety Call is required for this position Support CVOR and general OR teams during procedures Qualifications Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred NBSTA or NCCT, but not required PRN requires a minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience CVOR experience is preferred Education Education Required: Associate's Degree Experience 1-2 years Experience with Open Heart Procedures Experience with CV Procedures License and Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT Required Or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required Location Baptist Jacksonville (Downtown) – 800 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32207 Seniority level Entry level Employment type PRN Full-time (listed as PRN days; shifts may vary) Job function Health Care Provider Industries Hospitals and Health Care For consideration, please apply or contact Tiffany Marmol at tiffany.marmol@bmcjax.com. #J-18808-Ljbffr
