Responsibilities:
  • Guidance and Expertise: Serve as an RF Systems Engineer/SME guiding the operational and technical aspects of our clients' unique mission.
  • Technical Subject Matter Expertise (SME): Provide SME regarding operational and technical aspects of RF spectrums to include HF, VHF, UHF, and EHF/AEHF systems.
  • Policy Development: Provide technical expertise using knowledge of RF communications systems and their relationships to other telecommunications networks to advise and develop policies, directives, plans, and CONOPS.
  • Problem-Solving and Risk Management: Advise the customer on the development of technical approaches to solving integration and interoperability related problems; identify and quantify risks that would affect the quality, timeliness, and cost of project services and deliverables; recommend risk avoidance and mitigation plans.
  • Documentation and Communication: Author well-researched quality document packages, coordinate, and track correspondence, formulate Courses of Action (COA's), and draft recommendations for customer and senior decision makers that will have broad organizational or interagency impact.
  • Communication Planning: Participate as expert advisor to and on behalf of the customer in various communication planning working groups; review meetings and technical exchanges with vendors and mission partners; ensure knowledge creation/sharing and integration within and across the client's enterprise.
  • Analysis and Recommendation: Apply technical expertise to analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations to support integration of fixes, modifications, and enhancements into future and existing operational architecture.
  • Project Leadership: Lead complex projects from requirements development through design and acquisition, culminating in stakeholder operational test and acceptance.
  • Operational Requirements: Work with the client to determine operational requirements for future system capabilities; model use cases, produce conceptual designs, develop technology integration strategies, design systems architectures; support the design, planning, and testing of new systems; ensure new systems are properly installed and brought online for operational use; coordinate installation team efforts to ensure schedules are met and activities are not disruptive to ongoing operations.
