Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Occupational Health Job Specialty: Staff Augmentation Job Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: [Information not provided] Experience: [Information not provided] License: Registered Nurse (RN) License Certifications: [Information not provided] Must-Have: - Clear bag for entry to the facility - Professional conduct in accordance with correctional standards Job Description: - Provide direct patient care, including administering medication both orally and via intramuscular and intravenous methods, while monitoring compliance. - Perform treatments and assist with nurse-led and doctor-led sick calls. - Manage chronic care clinics and respond to emergencies with appropriate care, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation. - Conduct subjective and objective assessments of patients, collect vital signs, and document findings in a timely manner. - Collect biological specimens and prepare patients for release or transfer, ensuring medication orders are completed and forwarded to pharmacy services as necessary. - Engage in work-related and institutional training exercises. - Assist and provide guidance to other healthcare staff, investigate and document problem areas or concerns, and review previous shift reports. - Support physicians with medical procedures and assume the duties of absent nurses. - Educate patients on healthcare maintenance and disease prevention. - Participate in quality assurance activities, health and wellness initiatives, and group programming. - Provide training, orientation, and work direction to new nurses and other healthcare personnel, serving as a resource for healthcare and security staff. - Perform administrative duties, attend meetings, schedule multidisciplinary team meetings, and manage shift work assignments and inventory orders. - Conduct oneself professionally and in line with correctional standards of employee conduct at all times. - Perform other related duties as required.
