Together our courts and probation departments are committed to impartial and timely dispute resolution; support for families, litigants, and victims; client rehabilitation; and meaningful community engagement.STATEMENT OF DUTIESSummary of Job Classification:Supervises and oversees the daily operations of more than one team/unit withintheClerk'sOffice orcourtdivision. May serve on the district's management team and may act as Clerk of Court during absences.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform assigned essential functions listed below satisfactorily. Frequency and percentage of time may vary based on assignment.Supervises the work of assigned teams/units supervisory and court staff, including assigning and prioritizing work, providing guidance and coaching/mentoring, training, participating and hiring and termination, and conducting performance evaluations.Liaises between staff and senior management. Attends and participates in statewide and district level committee meetings.Contributes and/or manages development and revision of policies, processes, procedures, and resources.Provides internal and external customer service and responds to requests and concerns. Serves as a point of contact and coordinates changes in court operations.Performs administrative functions including case management, data entry, reviewing case entries, providing advanced research on complex cases, routing cases, processing warrants, and balancing accounts receivable.Creates and distributes judicial reports. Tracks financial funding for grants and contracts.Identifies and completes projects that strengthen the Court's ability to effectively serve the community.Attends meetings and completes training as required.Performs other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CONT.Supervisor Responsibilities: Work requires managing and monitoring work performance by directing multiple groups of employees across more than one business function within an organizational unit including evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness, establishing broad organizational goals and realigning work and staffing assignments for the functional area. The work performed by majority of employees is complex.Human Collaboration: Interactions may result in decisions regarding implementation of policies. Contact may involve support of controversial positions or the negotiation of sensitive issues or important presentations. Contacts may involve stressful, negative interactions with the public requiring high levels of tact and the ability to respond to aggressive interpersonal interactions.Freedom to Act & Impact of Actions: Employees normally perform assignments according to your own judgment, requesting Supervisory assistance only when necessary. Special projects are managed with little oversight and assignments may be reviewed upon completion. Performance reviewed periodically.Knowledge & Skills: Work requires advanced skills and advanced & extensive knowledge of work. Incumbent can handle complex tasks and translate complex nuances related to aspects of the job. Recognized by others within organization for technical depth of knowledge.Fiscal Responsibility: May be responsible for the billing, collection and/or accounting of funds. May be responsible for the handling and balancing of cash.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience Equivalency:High School diploma or G.E.D.Work Related Experience:At least five (5) years of experience in court, legal, or administrative services, of which two (2) years must have been supervisory experience.Licenses and Certifications:None.Physical Effort Requirements:Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.Work Environment:Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.Work Location:Office or similar indoor environment.Exposures:Individuals who are hostile or irate; individuals with known violent backgrounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
