Associate General Counsel – Construction Location: This role requires an on-site presence 4 days a week. We are open to candidates that will work in our Overland Park or Dallas location. As Associate General Counsel (Director) for our construction legal team, you’ll be at the center of complex, high-value transactions that drive innovation and expansion. You’ll work on cutting‑edge projects, collaborate with talented professionals across multiple business units, and help navigate the legal landscape for large-scale construction and real‑estate initiatives. Key Responsibilities Negotiate and draft customer and vendor contracts Prepare and review business-related agreements, including loans, acquisitions, equity raises, construction, and real estate Provide legal support for compliance, reporting, and litigation matters Advise on IT-related legal issues, including data security and privacy compliance Ensure adherence to domestic and international privacy laws Manage collections and bankruptcy filings Qualifications J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school 5–9+ years of experience in‑house or at a law firm with a focus on contract negotiation, real estate, lease negotiation, and / or corporate law Proven experience handling high-volume construction and real estate transactions Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $170,000–$250,000 base salary (depending on experience) Annual discretionary bonus Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) with company match; paid time off and holidays; volunteer days; tuition assistance; parental and military leave; wellness programs Why Join Us?
