Role Summary Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientist who acts as an extension of the US Medical Affairs organization, responsible for developing relationships with medical thought leaders and providing medical information and scientific support for Jazz Pharmaceuticals. Responsibilities Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers within the therapeutic area. Develop and execute territory plans in alignment with US Medical Affairs plans. Identify and communicate key clinical and research issues and insights from KOLs to appropriate departments. Participate in medical education for healthcare professionals through on-site presentations at healthcare institutions, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, or regional meetings. Provide scientific support for activities such as medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and sales training initiatives. Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate complex scientific and medical information across diverse audiences; clear presentation skills; excellent planning and organization; strong strategic mindset; highly self‑motivated and autonomous; ability to adapt in a changing environment; excellent negotiation skills; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; proven collaboration with commercial teams while maintaining scientific integrity; proficient with digital platforms; excellent spoken English. Preferred: Demonstrated success supporting product launches in a field medical capacity; experience managing multiple molecules or therapeutic areas; track record in clinical trial site support and patient recruitment; understanding regulatory requirements for field personnel. Education/Licenses: Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) with at least 3 years of Oncology or Rare Disease experience; or RN/NP/CNP/PA with Master‚Äôs or equivalent and at least 5 years in Oncology or Rare Disease clinical practice; minimum 2 years as an MSL or similar role; experience in neuro‑oncology strongly preferred; field travel 60‚Äì70%; valid driver‚Äôs license and residence within 60 miles of a major airport. Skills Scientific and medical information communication Presentation and facilitation Strategic planning and territory management Relationship building with healthcare professionals and KOLs Cross‑functional collaboration (Commercial, Clinical Development, Market Access) Digital platforms and tools proficiency Education Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) required, with Oncology or Rare Disease experience. Licensure options depending on role (RN, NP, CNP, PA or equivalent) with corresponding clinical practice experience.
