System Administrator TIAG is now hiring a System Administrator to join our team at the National Institute of Health (NIH). As the System Administrator, you will provide daily administration, security compliance, and operational support for all Facility Operational Technology systems (FOTS) including servers, workstations, and OT applications. This position is based in Bethesda, MD and is primarily on-site requiring an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. As a result, US or Naturalized Citizenship is a requirement. Position Responsibilities Provide system administrator functions for design and testing systems in Windows Server environments and OT applications (Metasys, Desigo, etc.) Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for hardware and software administration, installation, interoperability, configuration management, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting Proficient in setting up new servers (virtual and physical), performing data backups/snapshots, migrating data to new servers, and decommissioning legacy systems. Assist various teams in scanning and patching all assets, completing STIG checklists, harden and implement applicable STIGs and deploying patches to mitigate all open findings Harden and implement applicable STIGs. Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory integration Maintain system inventories and configuration baselines Coordinate maintenance windows with facility operations Implement NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 security controls Support ATO documentation and compliance activities Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, processes, and service records Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for system administration, usage, and disaster recovery Provide 8-hour daily on-site coverage rotation Qualifications 5+ years systems administration experience supporting federal contracts Experience with Windows Server, virtualization, and enterprise applications Intermediate skills in identifying and anticipating server performance, availability, capacity, or configuration problems. Knowledge of OT/ICS environments and security requirements ITIL v4 Foundations certification preferred Experience with vulnerability management tools (ACAS) Active DoD Secret clearance required An Information Assurance certification in compliance with DoD 8570 (e.g., Security+, CISSP) (IAT Level II) is required. Ability to manage time well to meet assigned milestones.
