POSITION TITLE: MST-BSF ClinicianPROGRAM: Multisystemic Therapy- Building Stronger Families (MST-BSF)
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Intensive In-Home Therapy Services as delineated in the MST and MST-CAN Standards, including crisis intervention, counseling, skill building, concrete services, and advocacy. This position reports to the MST-BSF Team Leader.
SUPERVISION: Supervised by: Team Leader, MST-BSF
Supervises: As assigned by Team Leader
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct MST-BSF assessment including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context
Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement
Implement a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process
Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the nine MST Principles and the MST Analytic Process
Collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout MST-BSF treatment
Provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MST principles and practices.
Participate in all MST-BSF training, supervision and consultation activities
Build a relationship with community stakeholders (i.e., child protection services, Guardians ad Litem, judges, schools, etc.) to ensure cooperation among service providers
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Submit all required personnel documents, as directed.
Complete and submit all agency paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Use of an online data management system for all clinical documentation.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with referring agency staff and other community professionals.
Represent the agency in community meetings and on interagency teams as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education Requirement:
A Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology/Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related human services field.
Must have a CT license as a mental health provider at the associate level (i.e.,: LMSW, LPCA, LMFTA); fully licensed (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC) or license-eligible psychologist in Connecticut
Previous work-related experience
Ability to work with diverse individuals.
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain client confidentiality.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality
Familiarity with Word, e-mail and Internet.
Valid Drivers license, reliable transportation and valid auto insurance is required.
Typical Working Conditions
Requires working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must be available for assigned on-call hours as delineated by program
Work is performed primarily in client homes and throughout the community.
Involves exposure to tobacco smoke, domestic animals, household pests, and other conditions common to domestic environments.
Frequent contact with staff and non-staff (e.g., client families, referring agencies, community professionals, community agencies / programs).
