Physician – Infectious Disease

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Infectious Disease Physician for our Slidell campus. Ochsner Health is an integrated healthcare system with more than 36,000 employees and over 4,600 employed and affiliated physicians in over 90 medical specialties and subspecialties. It operates 47 hospitals and more than 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Gulf South.
This position is a combined hospital and clinic-based practice, including inpatient. The ideal candidate will be trained in epidemiology and infection prevention and control.
Position Highlights:
- Shared call rotation - no more than 17 weekends out the year.
- You would be joining a practice with 2 other physicians and 1 APP as well as support staff in the clinics such as MAs and LPNs.
- Inpatient side would be hospital rounding heavy every other week, then the opposite weeks you would do some light rounding and mainly do outpatient visits.
- High volume practice.
