Schedule: Flexible Shifts (Rotating Weekends)

Responsibilities as the On-Call Hospice RN:
  • Patient Care: Conduct assessments and follow the established care plan for hospice patients.
  • Medication: Administer medications and document treatments accurately.
  • Coordination: Communicate with healthcare teams and families to coordinate care and address patient needs.
  • Education: Provide patient and family education on care plans and medication use.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and timely patient records.
  • Support: Offer emotional support to patients and families, fostering independence and self-direction.
Qualifications for the On-Call Hospice RN:
  • Education: Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor s in Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Experience: 1+ years in adult, pediatric, or medical/surgical clinical care (hospice experience preferred).
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey; PA licensure if practicing in PA.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
