Job Description: Build and architect the next generation network to support production and understand the strategic goals and operational needs that define network requirements. Develop the future state of network technologies while broadening the network engineering space. Plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. Design application programming interface (API) layers, data models, and specifications. Test and improve the performance of APIs in terms of response time, reliability, and resource usage. Troubleshoot complex production issues with APIs, identify the source of the issue, and collaborate with the appropriate team to ensure the technical issue is resolved. Identify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the project and develop and implement mitigation measures. Work with the engineering team to create and influence proper standards for development, governance, and operational lifecycle. Develop the engineering roadmap, determine work streams, and delegate tasks to the engineering team. Deliver on-target key performance indicators for service availability, capacity, and performance management. Provide escalation-level support for incidents, technical issues, and change management. Collaborate with information technology governance during assessments and audits, providing evidence as required. Support complex engineering projects in the realm of network systems. Promote standardization and reduce complexity. Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. Conduct proactive maintenance of the network infrastructure. Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery testing along with operational support through 24x7 on-call rotation. Supervise a team of two network engineers and one network analyst.

Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Digital Sciences, or a related field. Requires five years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience. Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Network infrastructure, systems, and technology, including F5 networks; OSI model, TCP and UDP flow analysis, and IP subnetting, routing and switching; Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancing techniques, methods and algorithms; F5 load balancers BIG-IP LTM and BIG-IP GTM deployed in high-availability; Deploying virtual servers, pools, iRules, SSL offloading, persistence profiles, and certificate management; Application programming interfaces; Scripting in Perl, Python, and PowerShell; Microsoft Azure or AWS public clouds; Operating within an ITIL and ITSM organization using ServiceNow; and Diagramming software, including Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart.
