Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled IPC J-STD-001 Certified Electromechanical Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and testing electromechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with IPC J-STD-001 standards. This role requires precision, a thorough understanding of assembly techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Assembly: Assemble electromechanical components and systems according to detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and IPC J-STD-001 standards.

Soldering: Perform high-quality soldering of components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other assemblies, adhering to IPC J-STD-001 standards.

Inspection: Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and correct any defects or issues.

Testing: Perform functional testing of assemblies to verify proper operation and performance. Use testing equipment and tools as required.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assembly processes, inspections, and tests. Ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.

Tool Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate assembly tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes, improve quality, and increase efficiency.

Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations. Ensure compliance with IPC J-STD-001 standards and company policies.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other assemblers, technicians, and engineers to ensure smooth production flow and resolve any assembly-related issues.

Training: Assist in training new team members on assembly techniques and standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

IPC J-STD-001 certification is required.

Previous experience in electromechanical assembly is preferred.

Proficiency in soldering and assembly techniques according to IPC J-STD-001 standards.

Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and correct defects.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Basic understanding of testing equipment and tools.

Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

$20 - $24 an hour
