Senior Financial Strategist

Black Rock Mountain Resort is a premier hospitality destination seeking an experienced and motivated financial leader to oversee all financial aspects of the resort. This executive-level role will report directly to the General Manager and VP of Finance, serving as a mentor to the finance team and playing a hands-on role in day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and communicate cash flow-related issues to management and ownership, ensuring the resort's financial health and compliance.
* Coordinate the completion of forecasts and budgets, collaborating with the Executive Team and department managers to achieve financial objectives.
* Analyze financial data and provide insights to help the management team make informed decisions.
* Reconcile all balance sheet accounts promptly and accurately, maintaining the integrity of the resort's financial records.
* Audit and enforce internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, assets, payroll, and record-keeping to prevent financial losses.
* Direct and prepare all financial reports, ensuring they meet company requirements and deadlines, providing transparency into the resort's financial performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
* Proven experience in a hospitality finance role, with a track record of managing financial operations in a resort or hotel setting, preferred.
* Prior experience with complex resort operations and HOA accounting, highly desirable.
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing finance teams.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities, with the capacity to distill complex financial information into actionable insights for stakeholders.
