Quality Management Coordinator

This full‑time, non‑exempt position reports to the Director of Continuous Quality Improvement & Technologies and is based at the San Diego administrative office. Responsibilities The development, implementation, and evaluation of an integrated treatment approach for youth with co‑occurring psychiatric and substance disorders and quality trauma‑informed youth programs that adhere to and uphold the rigorous standards of SDYS. Attend and participate in required meetings, workgroups, and trainings. Assume responsibility and oversight of select projects as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer and Directors. Assist QM Team, Directors, Program Managers, and support department supervisors with ensuring standards of quality including service partner confidentiality, program philosophy, and SDYS guiding principles. Contract compliance and quality management of programs and departments, including maintaining contract files and records to ensure progress and compliance. Develop, create and maintain agency policies & procedures (P&Ps) and training for providing quality services to at‑risk youth and families across all SDYS programs and departments. Coordinate required monitoring and reports including collection and maintenance of timeliness and quality of program and department report submissions to meet agency and contract requirements (i.e., Annual Outcomes Report, Monthly Program Numbers, Impact Report). Coordinate medication management monitoring in conjunction with programs that require completion. Conduct program site audits based on internal and contract audit tools and provide written documentation of strengths and areas of improvement. Recruit and coordinate clinical interns/trainees in accordance with agency personnel policies and procedures. Act as Task Supervisor to the Quality Management Intern. Participate and support revenue generation, which includes participation in public funding, training, and grant proposal writing in assigned specialized areas in accordance with SDYS annual resource development plan. Assist grant writer with proposal development and grant re‑application when needed. With assistance, monitor budgets and comply with fiscal policies and procedures. Assist CQIT Director, QM Director and ECMS Coordinator with Electronic Health Record (EHR) use, process improvements and audits. Develop working knowledge of program use of EHR to support functionality in conjunction with ECMS. Develop an understanding of EHR reports and work with Apricot group and programs to problem‑solve data integrity. Schedule and coordinate all internal and external trainings, including Leadership Academy and New Hire Orientation. Create annual training calendar. Outreach to potential trainers, coordinate internal trainings with program managers/ Directors/ Clinical Supervisors, market the event to staff and conduct registrations. Assess trainings from staff feedback and evaluations; coordinate trainings for SDYS workforce in conjunction with QM Director. Maintain a tracking & notification system for staff attendance at internal & external trainings. Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) in Paylocity as applicable to improve training and professional development availability. Coordinate with HR to create & distribute training certificates for internal & external trainings. Support programs in scheduling & paying invoices for external trainings and support set‑up/breakdown on training days. Work with Program Managers and Directors to support programs in creating training checklists for staff that align with program training requirements provided by funder and industry standards. Maintain active certification for CEU’s/ CAMFT, CEPA, and other continuing education providers; maintain knowledge of cultural competency requirements and eligible trainings. Maintain up‑to‑date emergency preparedness manual, distribute P&Ps and track completion of emergency preparedness drills for all staff. Support I.T. activities in conjunction with CQIT Director and I.T. Specialist: support the tracking and assignment/transfer of Verizon cell phones and iPads; support day‑to‑day troubleshooting with Cox alarms, video surveillance, and phones; support day‑to‑day troubleshooting with printer management (office Konica copiers and personal printers); act as go‑between when SDYS staff aren’t responding to Excedeo communications; support the overall organization, monitoring, tracking and assignment of agency network equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required; 1‑3 years of experience in social work or equivalent preferred, including providing high‑quality services to at‑risk youth and families. Experience with databases is preferred, specifically reports and data cleaning. Experience working with pregnant and parenting transition‑age youth (TAY) preferred. Highly organized, flexible, and creative. Willingness to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma‑informed care and dual diagnosis treatment; experience working in trauma‑informed and dual diagnosis programs preferred. Experience with supervision, training, and scheduling of staff preferred. Team player who can solve problems independently and collaborate in a fast‑paced, detailed‑oriented, multi‑disciplinary team environment. Ability to work with and represent a culturally and ethnically diverse community. Reliable vehicle, relevant auto insurance, clean driving record, and willingness to drive for job‑related tasks. Bilingual (English/Spanish or another threshold language) preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) preferred. Employment offer subject to clearances including fingerprinting, background checks, TB testing, and drug testing. Physical Requirements Ability to bend at the waist, kneel or crouch. Ability to hear and speak to exchange information and make presentations. Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds (e.g., books, materials, equipment). Able to read, prepare and review a variety of activities. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Walking extended lengths to move around campuses. Potential exposure to physical injury from aggressive behavior. Employment is subject to required clearances which include tuberculosis test, fingerprinting, background checks, and drug testing. Salary and Benefits Base pay range: $27.00‑$29.00 per hour.
