Job OverviewHematology Oncology Physician position at Veterans Health Administration – Little Rock, Arkansas. Seeking a single physician to help build the nation's best Hematology and Oncology programs for veterans.ResponsibilitiesClinic, inpatient rounding, and consults.On-call duty nights, weekends and holidays no more than 10 days per month, with support from a hospitalist team.Mentor residents and fellows.Work ScheduleMonday–Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm.Compensation & BenefitsBase salary: $275,000 - $350,000 per year.Financial incentives: recruitment and relocation up to $40,000 per year.Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) up to $40,000 per year, if approved.Paid Time Off: 55 days per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, up to 5 days paid for CME) plus up to 12 weeks paid paternity/maternity leave.No physician employment contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting.Malpractice insurance with tail coverage.Affordable health, life, vision, dental, and long-term care insurance.Public Service Loan Forgiveness after 10 years of service.QualificationsMD/DO from an accredited institution (or ECFMG equivalent).Completion of residency training; foreign residency must be followed by 5 years of practice or fellowship experience in the U.S.Active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory.Preferred QualificationsBoard certified or board eligible in Hematology and Oncology.Proficiency with latest Hematology and Oncology therapies.About the EmployerVeterans Health Administration is the largest health care system in the United States.
